Yesterday, I saw a piece I did a while back that's hanging at my dad's house. It's very different from what I'm currently working on. It's 2D, for starters, and utilizes collage, with fabric and mirror. The more I looked at it, the more I want to re-visit that vein. I used hardboard, which I bought, and I really don't like to buy stuff like that. I remember how hard it was for me to order that. I'd like to start with some "found" pieces for the base. Possibly the ancient-looking Chinese chest that I found at the thrift store and dismantled...because it was already falling apart...

Thanks; not sure where I'll go with these, if anywhere, but I had the idea to take the bowl shapes I've been doing and turn them upside down...
or not!
It was just great to sketch big, and I think I'll keep doing that.
