Papier Mache Links

Just for giggles, and since I have to be at Norm's (Subaru repair folks) all morning, here's a couple of papier mache links for you:

bicycles complete with papier mache bicyclists!

Giant papier mache heads! (featuring George Bush)

Oh, the fun never ends...

then there's this, courtesy of Alyson Stanfield's blog...
not papier mache, but FUN!

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for visiting my blog. I like your work--very fun. I used to do papier mache--in fact, much of my BFA show was done in papier mache. I also got into doing furniture. I got frustrated with how long it took me to finish something--let it dry & paint it & went back to painting. I still have some of those pieces though. They are playful & I used a lot of things embedded in the p.m. like buttons, mirrors and shells. Lots of fun!

Thanks for coming by here too...
When you said you did furniture, were you covering existing pieces with pulp, or something else? I've done some papier mache thrones, building the forms from toilet paper rolls, mostly. And I DO get frustrated with the time it takes to make! I also do some more 2D stuff, but it's been awhile and I'd like to get back to it soon.
